Description Tyler Riddle 2009-10-21 18:01:39 UTC
The MediaWiki dump file has the following attributes for the <mediawiki> node:

xmlns="http://www.mediawiki.org/xml/export-0.4/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.mediawiki.org/xml/export-0.4/ http://www.mediawiki.org/xml/export-0.4.xsd"

None of those URLs work. I'd like to see the new schema so I can update the Parse::MediaWikiDump perl module.

Changing this to a Wikimedia bug, since this can only be done by someone with shell access.

Assigning to Trevor. He and I talked about this awhile ago and it was said that this has to be manually put there, doesn't happen on scap.

Note that you really assigned it to Tomasz, who is the XML dumps guy. Trevor is the frontend CSS/JS guy.

Which I what I meant to do anyway :)

Actually, I don't know if I just hadn't woken up when I read this, or if I just needed Tomasz to just smack me with a clue-by-4.

http://www.mediawiki.org/xml/export-0.4/ <- Nothing has to be here. Talked to Tomasz and he's going to copy over the stupid index page from 0.3 (see http://www.mediawiki.org/xml/export-0.3/ for reference) so nobody gets confused again.

http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance <- Loads for me

http://www.mediawiki.org/xml/export-0.4.xsd <- Loads for me as well.

Going ahead and marking this WFM.
