With modern browsers, changes to forms are kept in the history, so you can just click back and get your text back.

If we dynamically load the edit form, then this doesn't work anymore. We should look into how we might fix this.

Maybe the Gerrit Change-Id I38372e4ae384c4d477f4cee1e03ec06051861cf7 which adds auto-save feature for edit textareas, via localStorage (https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/5130/) will be of some help?
