Description Platonides 2009-10-16 22:35:04 UTC
Accessing the sandbox with Firefox nightly, the video:
-First, shows the Firefox native video control which disappears shortly. http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/7050/sandbox21loading.gif
-Then, it's a while showing boxes below the video and having the options visible at the bottom http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/4179/sandbox22oddboxes.gif
-Finally, you get the video ready to play, but you don't know what the buttons are. http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/8707/sandbox23ready.gif
-And in fact, it plays the full video like that http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/5705/sandbox24playing.png
(you can pause, resume, etc.)

If you're lucky you can get later the "blue controls"... or not. So it's not a problem of "supporting" the code in the browser.

Hmm that strange.. has not really done that for me (also using the firefox nightly). its possible that is some css conflicts with the usability css? Or looks more like the css not loading...

Does the stand alone file look oky for you? http://prototype.wikimedia.org/s-2/js2/mwEmbed/example_usage/Player_Simple_Themable.html

Not sure how I could fix this ... block display until the css is loaded?... although that might be tricky to implement...does this happen for you consistently? are you on a very slow connection?

I think this has been resolved in the general re-factoring efforts.
