Tagalog Wikipedia has been vandalized many times. The delete log of the project contains many unnecessary articles such as attack pages, articles with titles like "Ano po ang kahulugan ng prime meridian?" (What is the meaning sir of prime meridian), or any nonsense articles. All of them are created by anonymous users. Can we do something about it? Like restricting the article creation for unknown IP users like the English Wikipedia? Thanks.

If you decide that you should change the settings, open a bug here pointing to the discussion.

Hello. Thanks for the notification. Before opening this bug discussion, I have pointed to the Tagalog Wikipedia community about the possibility of banning anon users to create articles there. (link: http://tl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Kapihan/Sinupan_17#Mungkahi_sa_pagtanggal_ng_karapatan_ng_IP_sa_paglikha_ng_pahina ) Four of the editors there agreed (including me) but it isn't clear whether a consensus was reached or not.

Maybe that is Okay. I do not know that. So I REOPEN this, and other people can have a look at it.
Although I'm one of the people who agreed to this in principle, I prefer to see how the rest of the community reacts. What may have appeared to be consensus last year can easily change into something else.
Please reopen this bug when you've found consensus.
