Description Rodan BURY 2009-09-16 11:05:29 UTC
A straw poll on fr.wikipedia showed 95.8% of the users support the installation of http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:EditSimilar on fr.wikipedia.org

62% agreed to install it directly, and 33.8% would like to test it as a user preference first. Just in case, the straw poll is here : http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikip%C3%A9dia:Sondage/Mise_en_place_de_l%27extension_EditSimilar

To ensure consensus and proceed cautiously, I am asking the installation of Editsimilar as a user preference on fr.wikipedia.

Some user were asking if the search for related stubs through categories might slow down the servers significantly. If it is too much of a problem to allow installation of Editsimilar, we would like to have a message after editing, like "Your edit has been saved".
Just like it already exist in the account preferences : a green box containing "Your preferences have been saved." This would improve usability, since user testing proved that new users don't really know if their edit was successfully saved after editing. The community agreed to that solution in case the extension cannot be installed.

Thanks. :-)
