Description Ling Kah Jai 2009-09-10 16:09:25 UTC
The open source code project, [[Sage]], seems to have a better codes for formating LaTeX. It requires users to download some font but otherwise the response will be better and the display is also better. Can I suggest wikipedia to adopt this piece of source code for LaTeX formating and display? If this is not an appropriate place to post this suggestion, can some body help to duplicate this at the right place and let me know the post location? Thank you.

You need to give *way* more details. Give links to the project (not a giant disambig page), and explain exactly what's better in their system than Wikimedia's TeX implementation (texvc).

I'm guessing he means http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sage_(mathematics_software). If so, we'd still be facing an external dependency.

This isn't a texvc issue, I'm refiling and resummarising as though it were a request for an extension that does this. (was: Software Code for formating LaTeX)

This request is from 2009 I think it won't be fixed. Feel free to reopen, if there is a concrete plan how to resolve this.
