Description Ævar Arnfjörð Bjarmason 2009-07-23 07:57:15 UTC
(This bug mostly via E-Mail from Dirk Stöcker)

We might want to alter our rendering to render the local name below the main name, e.g.:

The same name in local dialect below the name (smaller font size):

    Munich
    (München)

The rules should be:
  name is to be seen as local
  When name == display name --> ignore it
  When name == ".* - x" or "x - .*" where x is one of the "name:code"
  then ignore it ( some areas have rules like "name = name:x1 - name:x2"
or display one of these two names
    - e.g. the first or
    - the second if displayed name equals first

Bi-lingual names are very important, as e.g. northern Czech republic is
not understandable in german language, because the German names are no
longer used actively.
