RE: 1.16alpha (r52088) Currently, on all wikis, the user preference pages present the user options for E-mail notification (ENotif) but ENotif appears to be still disabled (I have no developer access and cannot view the current settings, thus my observations may be wrong). Remark: I designed the ENotif code n o t to show any ENotif options to users when ENotif functions as such are globally disabled for the specific wiki. It looks like a buglet in the new prefs code (flaw in changes during the last days since begin of July 2009) and urgent code reverting is needed in order not to puzzle users with non-working options on the primary preferences page as it is the case now. That's my rationale for setting bug severity to "major".
(In reply to comment #0) > code reverting is needed in order not to puzzle users with non-working options on the primary preferences page as it > is the case now Or, as an alternative, e n a b l i n g ENotif now - like on mediawiki and commons - could be helpful, too.
Has already been fixed, just hasn't been sync'd. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 19468 ***
(In reply to comment #2) > Has already been fixed (date: 20090713) Reminder one month later: this bug fix has still not been sync'd yet. All wikis still show the (currently useless, because inactive) options for e-mail notification in in users' preferences.
