Description Jon 2009-07-05 23:15:58 UTC
This makes for extra work... since no harm is brought in a purge, there is no need for confirmation.

It presents with:

Clear the cache of this page?
[OK button]
Purging a page clears the cache and forces the most current revision to appear.
Comment 1 Jon 2009-07-05 23:17:53 UTC
When logged out only.

I believe this has been the case for a very long time:

r11671 -> Mon Nov 07 04:14:15 2005: purge requires POST.
r11764 -> Mon Nov 21 17:08:11 2005: logged in users exempt from POST requirement.
r19195 -> Sat Jan 13 04:25:25 2007: purge change checked from loggedin to a separate right.

As far as I can see, no WMF wiki has 'purge' right assigned to '*'. So this bug is INVALID unless you're requesting it for anonymous users?

That's a feature not a bug.
