and

renders with the wikilinks showing as bold.  Ive edited, retyped, 
saved, re-edited, and they persist.

The [[sexual orientation]] is a self-link, and self-links are automatically de-linked and turned into bold text. That is not a bug.

The '''determinants of sexual orientation''' is actually using the bold mark-up, it is not a link.
