It would be nice if the stuff at http://noc.wikimedia.org could be more easily found, things like http://noc.wikimedia.org/conf/ and http://noc.wikimedia.org/cgi-bin/report.py?db=enwiki

I'm not talking about anything fancy, just a simple HTML page with a list of links, like has been done for http://svn.wikimedia.org

Or even just redirect it to /conf. Anything at all, really, that is more useful than "nocnocnocnocnoc".

If the developers were more than willing, i would be happy to design a simple (static) html page for it.

That'd be spiffy... Rob, I'm gonna put you in charge of figuring out how to implement a page here. :D

On a related note http://bits.wikimedia.org could say something more informative than "bits and pieces live here!", though there is not so much there that people might be interested in viewing.

This is probably even more important than a real home page for noc.wikimedia.org... on a normal page's source, bits.wikimedia.org shows up around 14 times. It'd be nice of people knew what exactly the site they're loading stuff from is for.

Comment 8 Liangent 2010-08-12 17:19:34 UTC
And "Resources" is misspelled as "Ressources".
Comment 9 Liangent 2010-08-12 17:22:53 UTC
A link to http://nagios.wikimedia.org/ can be added as well.
Comment 10 Liangent 2010-08-12 17:26:15 UTC
.. and two "Mediawiki" should be spelled as "MediaWiki" (upper W).
