Description Adrian Archer 2009-06-10 19:26:39 UTC
{{PAGENAME}} and {{FULLPAGENAME}} display the original title, instead of the new title, when {{DISPLAYTITLE:}} is used.

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:AdrianArcher for an example
Comment 1 Alex Z. 2009-06-10 20:08:16 UTC
This is the desired behavior. {{DISPLAYTITLE}} only changes the heading, everything else uses the real title. If this was changed, things like [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/{{PAGENAMEE}}?action=edit Edit this page] wouldn't work.
Comment 2 Adrian Archer 2009-06-10 20:16:31 UTC
But that is only true for changes when violate $wgRestrictDisplayTitle. Eg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:AdrianArcher?action=edit is equivalent to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:adrianArcher?action=edit

What about making {{PAGENAME}} show the display name iff it is equivalent to the original name?
