The two log extracts linked to from that revision (I won't post them here so that revision can be oversighted if desirable, breaking the links for non-oversighters), show the block log for a recent section of time, and the corresponding IPBlockList extract. Entries are missing from the latter, indicating that they have been hidden with hideuser, but the corresponding block log entries are *not* hidden. This seems to be a failure in Oversight. I obviously don't have access to the suppression logs on enwiki so I'm not sure how the situation came to pass. I tested on my personal wiki what I thought to be the vector: non-oversighter blocks user, oversighter reblocks using hideuser --> original blocklog entry not hidden; but that hid correctly. I'm not sure what happened; can an oversighter fill in the blanks here?
This isn't oversight, but revision deletion. CCing Aaron.
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log&type=block&page=User:Girlvinyl_is_the_owner_of_Encyclopedia_Dramatica. This item is hidden. Was it that way before? Probably a sysop blocked first. If that happens, then that entry will be crossed out, and the reblock entry placed in the suppress log.
Any more on this?
