MediaWiki support places are also not the right place for information about setting up PHP right in the first place. I suggest you look through the PHP install guide at php.net or ask in ##php on freenode (IRC).
Ok, Uninstall and reinstall PHP( or click change) from add / remove programs When it asks you what features to install expand extensions and select MySQL see http://www.ultraedit.com/assets/images/powertips/ues/php_mysql_ues4.png
