Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.
In order to access the Phabricator task corresponding to a Bugzilla report, just remove "static-" from its URL.
You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description Chris 2005-04-09 08:57:07 UTC
Running the new version 1.4.0 of MediaWiki on an Apache 2.0.50 server with PHP 4.3.10
and mysql 3.23.58, I get the following error message when I try to install by
accessing /config/index.php:

"The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to
complete your request."

The error log contains the following details:

"Premature end of script headers: php-script"

I've set up full permissions for the /config/ directory.

I've copied the MediaWiki files into the root directory (in this case /var/www/html).

Thank you in advance for your help.

I have now managed to successfully solve the problem on the server. It appears that the 'write'
permissions had to be switched off for the /config/ directory except for 'owner'.
