After the latest successful namespace transition on the Maltese Wikipedia (bug #16373), it would be even better if the other two remaining namespaces will be added. These are: * Portal (remains the same) * Portal talk ---> Diskussjoni_portal * Project ---> Proġett * Project talk ---> Diskussjoni_proġett These proposals are done since portal pages on mt.wp are being added to the article count, and we want to reduce this problem. Can the transition be made without any loss of pages, since there are already pages written under the Portal: "namespace"? Apart from this, can the "Wikipedia_talk" namespace be modified since the transition was done to "Wikipedija diskussjoni" which is in incorrect format. The correct one has to "Diskussjoni Wikipedija". Thanks again.
I have gone ahead and added the talk for wikipedia talk on the mtwiki. I did not see any settings for it before, so it was just non-localized defaults. I added the namespace for Portal and Portal Talk as requested above. However, what do you mean by Project? I have Wikipedija as the project name and Diskussjoni Wikipedija as the project talk. So you really want Proġett as an alias to Wikipedija and not as a new namespace correct? I have pushed all but that last question live.
Well, sorry for confusing you. With 'project' I was referring to the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject WikiProject] namespace. But, after I had a look at our wiki, the use of Wikipedija is still good. So, there's no need for any transaction to be made. Now, how can I restore back the pages that were on the 'Portal' namespace before the latter was transformed into a namespace. I was trying to use the 'Broken/' syntax before the page title but nothing worked. Examples of portal pages on this wiki were http://mt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portal:Sport and http://mt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portal:Matematika. Can you tell me what can I do? The last question is for the last part of my first claim. The first transaction of namespaces that was done (bug #16373), the "Wikipedija_talk" was supposed to be translated into "Diskussjoni_Wikipedija", but it was translated into "Wikipedija_diskussjoni" which is in the wrong format. Can it be changed to "Diskussjoni_Wikipedija" as it was formerly proposed. Thanks.
I put in the settings for it to be Diskussjoni Wikipedija, is it not showing as that?
Neither does the "Diskussjoni Wikipedija" is working, nor does the "Portal" namespaces.
I ran a namespaceDupes cleanup and it found 18 conflicts in the portal namespace and fixed it. Are these namespaces still not showing up on the project correctly? They are added to the configuration that is presently live: 'mtwiki' => array( 100 => 'Portal', 101 => 'Diskussjoni_portal', ), Please advise.
I found another cleanup script and ran it. I think it should have fixed your issues. If not, please let me know!
The "Portal" namespace was successfully added as namespace, but the "Wikipedia talk" namespace (in Maltese -- "Diskussjoni_Wikipedija") isn't at the moment listed as a namespace.
