Description Church of emacs 2009-03-25 15:15:52 UTC
There was a request on dewiki to add a function that enables searching headlines, but not contents. By headlines, I don't mean the page title, but the "== Heading ==" stored in the wikitext.
This is probably not trivial to implement, as it requires parsing the wikitext and storing the headings separately in the database. However, such a feature would make sense if it existed.
Comment 1 Church of emacs 2009-03-25 15:17:14 UTC
Changing priority to low, as it is probably difficult to implement and not really urgent or outstandingly important imho.
Comment 2 Dan Garry 2014-02-14 22:26:41 UTC
The use cases for this feature (e.g. finding a discussion about a particular user) are better served by more targeted feature development rather than a quick fix like this. This is especially true in light of the move to Flow for our discussion systems, rendering a search system like this partially obsolete.

Changing to RESOLVED WONTFIX accordingly.
