Ordinarily, stewards would be able to take action to counter vandalism, however since usabilitywiki isn't on the main cluster, our global rights turn out not to be global. And we cannot access the wiki via userrights, so can't add sysop to ourselves (or whatever) as required. I guess the wikis are off the main cluster for a reason, but something should be done here, I think.

See also: bug 17580 (that would handle the global group for stewards, but I think Mike also wants to be able to add rights there)

The usability wiki is now on the primary cluster and global rights should function properly.

One must unify from Special:MergeAccount on usabilitywiki & re-login (to get a new cookie) and global rights will work. And usabilitywiki is now accessible from Meta's Special:Userrights since it's on the main cluster. All is well and good; marked as FIXED.
