Description Diaa 2009-03-21 11:43:26 UTC
It would be really nice if u apply a full screen function in media wiki to be applied with the specification in HTML 5. This works on firefox, Safari and soon IE8. Please add this as an option to the native browser support for the video files .ogv .
Comment 1 Michael Dale 2009-06-08 23:08:19 UTC
only some playback system work with fullscreen. Presently firefox 3.5 does not support fullscreen ... I don't know if safari does or not.

To lobby changes in the html5 specification you should see the what-wg list not the mediaWiki bug tracker ;)
Comment 2 Brion Vibber 2011-11-29 22:48:17 UTC
Lemme go ahead and reopen this -- Firefox 3.6 brought fullscreen <video>, and indeed there should be better support in various browsers these days. If not already added, should get done at some point.
Comment 3 Michael Dale 2011-11-30 10:13:03 UTC
yea browser now have real dom overlay fullscreen now days.It will be implemented in kaltura html5 trunk shortly. I will be sure to merge that over to TMH once ready.
Comment 4 Bawolff (Brian Wolff) 2012-11-22 23:37:58 UTC
Just tested on commons - TMH does indeed support full screen. Issue is hence fixed.
