Description MacGyverMagic 2009-03-10 09:04:37 UTC
In the past few months I've had several cases of Wikipedia edits I did being blocked by the spamblacklist because I inadvertedly included a blacklisted site in the edit. When I tried to follow the back to edit link provided or the back button on my browser the text I entered was gone which meant I had to enter it all over again.

I see how this might discourage spammers, but for established registered users this is a pain in the *.

I'd like to see an edit conflict interface instead if such a block occurs so the fault can be repaired without retyping the entire text.

There is no need to email me. If you need to contact me for further information, I'm available on en.Wikipedia.

This a duplicate of bug 17683.

This sounds like a browser bug. At least with Firefox 3.0.7 I do not have such a problem.

The issue occurred in IE 7 and Google Chrome.

This is about SpamBlacklist, not AbuseFilter. I'm duping to 16757 which is a solution for this problem.
