Please change the names for the file namespaces in the Danish (da) projects.

Current name (meaning "image"):
  Billede:
  Billeddiskussion: (talk page)

New name (meaning "file"):
  Fil:
  Fildiskussion: (talk page)

Please add the current names as new namespace aliases.

This was discussed and agreed upon at the village pump in the Danish Wikipedia (http://da.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Landsbybr%C3%B8nden/Oprettelse_af_Fil:_navnerum). Although not discussed in the other (less active) Danish projects, I suggest that the change is made for all of them:
  * da.wikipefia.org
  * da.wikiquote.org
  * da.wiktionary.org
  * da.wikisource.org
  * da.wikiquote.org
  * da.wikibooks.org

You can change this on Special:Magic on translatewiki.net and request a commit on Translating:Tasks. Creating namespace aliases is part of the process...

Thanks, Siebrand. I have done that. I wasn't aware that I also could request namespace aliases at translatewiki. It seems to be mentioned nowhere.
