Like for the RecentChanges(Linked) and history feeds, Atom/RSS feeds for user contributions should also (only?) contain the diffs. Atom could separate between <summary> and <content>, maybe. Currently you get the whole page for a user contribution, not just the diff, so you do not know what exactly has been changed! Example: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Contributions&feed=atom&target=newbies should look like: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Example&feed=atom&action=history (two columns, shorter, cleaner, you can see changes). If a page was created, the full text shown in this case, could be inside of <content> for Atom feeds instead of <summary>.
Yes, only diffs, please. I suppose this is a bug, because the current system doesn't seem to make any sense and is not consistent with other feeds. It's even worse for contributions of an individual user (with or without specified namespace), see e.g. http://it.wikiquote.org/w/index.php?title=Speciale:Contributi/Nemo_bis&feed=atom&limit=50&target=Nemo_bis&year=&month= which currently gives me 800 KiB of completely useless content (the whole text of the last 50 edited pages, I suppose).
Bug 41085 is a duplicate. Marking this one as duplicate of 41085, since that bug has more CCs and more comments. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 41085 ***
