Description Ludovic 2009-02-11 06:02:36 UTC
If you go see the supplied URL, you'll see that the query generates text that is of the form:

{{template name}}

But this is inserted verbatim, instead of being expanded, with the template's contents appearing in the query results.

The goal of this thing is to have a property that points to a page (in this case, a summary) that could then be inserted dynamically in other pages.
Comment 1 Markus Krötzsch 2009-02-11 11:10:55 UTC
The expansion fails because the query result provides links and not just plain texts. So the page name you try to expand is enclosed in double brackets, and hence not expanded by MediaWiki. Adding the parameter link=none to the query has fixed the problem (see URL).

Thanks a lot! I edited the sandbox example to make it more complex (including formatting and links in the summary article), and changed the query template so that the name of the page in the generated list correctly links to that page.
