I'm using r46954 (latest) of abuse filter, I created a filter that will log anyone saying "abuse", and when I try to edit a page to add abuse, I get a Internal Error.

Looks like some weird bug from previously has crept into your database, or perhaps your configuration is slightly off.

Regardless, this error should be a debug log message and not an exception, and I fixed this in r46956.
