A report from the permissions-de-team: roundabout 150 tickets are missing. Open tickets yesterday: ~ 330 Open tickets today: ~180 Already closed tickets are missed too: i.e. 2008122310013441 and 2008122610007336, linked from http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diskussion:Max-Planck-Institut_f%C3%BCr_Biogeochemie and http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diskussion:Gunther_Gerlach
A search for all tickets created before 29 days ago currently shows a gap from 29 days 23 hours to 234 days 18 hours (so any ticket created between 10 June 2008 and 31 December 2008 is missing). A check of my email logs of newticket notifications for the queues to which I have access shows "No permission" errors on tickets within this range, even the ones that were clearly legitimate English-language tickets. Note that OTRS gives a "No permission" error if a ticket ID does not exist, see e.g. https://ticket.wikimedia.org/otrs/index.pl?Action=AgentTicketZoom&TicketID=01189998819991197253
It's actually deleting anything once it becomes older than 30 days (0 hours), and also deleting things in batches older than that. The newest ticket older than a month is now 300 days 23 hours.
Are we sure this is not a "Feature"?
Able to confirm.
Changed severity to "critical" from "major" since this does involve a "loss of data".
?
It seems to be happening in batches every 10 or 20 minutes. Para thinks it might be something getting done by the 'GenericAgent' which runs on that sort of periodic basis.
See the server admin log <http://wikitech.wikimedia.org/view/Server_admin_log> for recovery status updates.
All done.
