Description Fragment 2009-01-27 18:00:05 UTC
For users who are logged in, the display of all parts of the sighted versions interface should be optional. I would like to check a button in the preferences, and never see anything reminding me of the existence of the mechanism ever again.

If the box is checked for a logged-in user,

* always display the unsighted version in the article tab, if there is one, and display the edit tab as "edit article" instead of "edit draft",
* don't display the "draft" tab, and
* never display the information box about the sighted status.

This way the users themselves can decide if they want to have the mechanism or not.

Non of the aforementioned things are particularly obtrusive.

I think so too. @Fragment: What you could make individually is to check that the option "Always show the stable version of content pages by default (if there is one)" is un-checked in your Special:Preferences. Then just hide #ca-current and #mw-revisiontag:

##ca-current,
#mw-revisiontag {display: none !important;}

Place the following into your [[de:Benutzer:Fragment/monobook.css]] e.g.:

#ca-current,
#mw-revisiontag {display: none !important;}

Closing per the above solution
Comment 5 Fragment 2009-01-28 08:02:57 UTC
Thanks, this does exactly what I want!
