Description Jesse (Pathoschild) 2009-01-11 18:49:06 UTC
Please create the Finnish Wikiversity, which has been approved by the Language subcommittee. The localization files are ready and added.

* subdomain/language code: fi
* content: [[incubator:wv/fi]]
* $wgSiteName: Wikiopisto
* $wgMetaNamespace: Wikiopisto
* $wgMetaNamespaceTalk: Keskustelu_Wikiopistosta
* import sources: fiwiki, fiwiktionary, fiwikibooks, fiwikinews, fiwikiquote, fiwikisource
* more information: [[m:Language_subcommittee/Status/wv/fi]]
Comment 1 Jesse (Pathoschild) 2009-01-11 18:53:21 UTC
corrections:
* content: http://beta.wikiversity.org/wiki/Pääsivu
* import sources: betawikiversity, fiwiki, fiwiktionary, fiwikibooks, fiwikinews, fiwikiquote, fiwikisource

The site has been setup with the above requests. Content has not been migrated by me, however the import has been setup. Did you need it imported by us or you guys?
Comment 3 David Crochet 2009-04-06 18:49:20 UTC
if possible, and usually, since betawikiversity, pages to be imported are:
* All pages in the category FI and its sub and sub-subcategories.

Ask VasilievVV to see how he'd done with PT.WV and JA.WV for the last time he did it
Comment 4 Rob Halsell 2009-04-07 16:49:55 UTC
I have used the special:export on beta.wikiversity to pull all the category FI, revisions, and templates and then imported them into fi.wikiverity. You should be all set.
Comment 5 hillgentleman 2009-04-08 01:43:29 UTC
Please enable subpage for at least the main namespace, or else there would be
lots of broken links [[/bla/]] such as those on this page http://fi.wikiversity.org/wiki/New_Methods_of_Assessment .
Comment 6 hillgentleman 2009-04-08 01:47:26 UTC
A lot of those subpages should be imported but were actually passed over since they are not in [[category:FI]] on Wikiversity Beta.

Yes as [[Category:E-Jump Project]] which is a subcategory of [Category:FI]] as ask in #3

With the ls-testanalysis tools, 265 pages are marked as placed in the FI category and its sub and sub-subcategory

I have enabled subpages as requested. As for importing more data, that is something that is traditionally done by the admin or 'crats on the new wiki.

Its under special pages export and import on betaversity and fiwikiversity.

How come I occasionally get "This wiki does not exist yet" message, but it disappears after a reload?
Comment 10 Brion Vibber 2009-04-14 22:09:23 UTC
Cached pages.

Now done
Comment 12 Rob Halsell 2009-04-17 17:59:34 UTC
Did you need us to do this export for you? This is something that is done via the Special:Export and Import pages, which any user of the proper level should be able to accomplish.

Please advise if you need us to do this on your behalf (not typical) and the ticket will re-open.

Thanks!

Thank you, I asked the import right for a temporary period and finish the transwiki
