Please, add $wgDefaultSkinForAnons (or so) as a complement to $wgDefaultSkin.

Lot of sites use MediaWiki as CMS and trying them to face as "regular" website not running on MediaWiki. On the other hand, registered users need links like edit, history, what links here etc. So having two sets of similar looking skins but one shows all the tools links and one not would solve this without pushing every single registered user to switch the skin to the one with tools links. It should appear by default after registration.

WORKSFORME. Set $wgDefaultSkin to the skin for your anonymous users. Then set the default preference for registered users with $wgDefaultUserOptions['skin'] = 'monobook' or whatever you want your editors to use. No need for a new config variable.
