Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.
In order to access the Phabricator task corresponding to a Bugzilla report, just remove "static-" from its URL.
You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description Rob 2008-12-22 16:13:10 UTC
Trying to get Mediawiki up and running - and can't progress beyond this. Checkede mySQL installation, which is working fine.

The process stalls at:

Please include all of the lines below when reporting installation problems.

PHP 5.2.6 installed
Found database drivers for: MySQL
PHP server API is isapi; using ugly URLs (index.php?title=Page_Title)
Have XML / Latin1-UTF-8 conversion support.
Session save path (C:\PHP\Sessions) appears to be valid.
PHP's memory_limit is 128M.
Couldn't find Turck MMCache, eAccelerator, APC or XCache; cannot use these for object caching.
GNU diff3 not found.
Found GD graphics library built-in, image thumbnailing will be enabled if you enable uploads.
Installation directory: C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Mediawiki11
Script URI path: /mediawiki11
Installing MediaWiki with php file extensions
Environment checked. You can install MediaWiki.
Warning: $wgSecretKey key is insecure, generated with mt_rand(). Consider changing it manually.
Generating configuration file...

Database type: MySQL
Loading class: DatabaseMysql
Attempting to connect to database server as root...

The install locks ehre, and does not progress.

Reminder to poke this with new-installer. I have a feeling it's no longer an issue.

Not really enough information to go on here, haven't encountered this while working on the new installer.

Closing WFM. Feel free to reopen if you can provide additional information or otherwise replicate this on a recent version of MediaWiki.
