Now, Global block log entry is not pretty. Following line is example. 

00:56, 20 December 2008 Andre Engels (Talk | contribs) globally blocked Special:Contributions/62.166.251.235 with an expiry time of 1 day ‎ (cross-wiki vandalism)

Please hide "Special:Contributions/". Thanks.

Ideally this would link to [[Special:GlobalContributions/*]], which doesn't exist (& can't find the bug ATM). Not sure whether it's worth linking to luxo's tool... If not, a link to local contribs without the Special:Contributions/ prefix would be fine.

Unfortunately, I can't think of how to make this patch work with older log entries.

Old entries are probably OK as-is... most of them (since shortly after this fault was discovered) have hb/sb in the block summary.
