== Background == My friend Ari Brodsky <ari.brodsky@utoronto.ca>, a Wikipedia reader, thought that the interlanguage links (ILLs) on the left hand side of most Wikipedia articles would take you to the *home pages* of foreign-language Wikipedias, not to the *same article in other languages*. So he never bothered to click on one. == Feature request == Please change the string "languages" on the left-hand side navigation bar to "this page in other languages" to make it clearer what the links do.
Not all interwiki's are pages in other languages, For example there is English (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cat) and Simple English (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cat) and i believe there are also Meta interwiki's around as well.

Personally, I think the default of "languages" is fine, but that's just my opinion. If a change in the core message isn't done, you can always ask enwiki to change it, and see if there's consensus for that (there's always the chance it'll get changed in core, and enwiki decides to keep "languages" as their version).(In reply to comment #1)
Original text is "In other languages". Please follow up this issue in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki_talk:Otherlanguages
