dewiki uses a lot of shortcuts for links to portal pages starting with P:. It would be easier if there were a namespace alias "P:" for "Portal:", since links (and especially redirects) from namespace 0 to other namespaces are not very welcome (euphemistically) on dewiki. And we already have WP: for Wikipedia:.

I believe there's been some hesitance to add single-letter namespace aliases as they're generally reserved for interproject links (e.g., [[q:Foo]] for Wikiquote).

This has been fixed along with bug 17501.
