Description Duncan Harris 2008-11-15 14:52:03 UTC
One should be able to enter hidden sortvalues into sortable wikitables, by which they then would be sorted rather than the actual visible content of the cells. This would introduce useful flexibility into the tables, and would be useful where one doesn't quite want sort by what is displayed in the cells.

For example, "custard cream biscuits" could have sortvalue="biscuits, custard cream" in a shopping list and be displayed next to "digestive biscuits" whose sortvalue="biscuits, digestive".

I would suggest something like this then:

|sortvalue="6"|

Thanks,

PS this is instead or in addition to foo which I regard as a workaround - or that's how it'll work if you understand.
