Omegatron 2004-08-18 15:51:56 UTC \mathcal {~} inside math tags creates a huge empty white image Leah 2004-12-04 16:42:00 UTC *** Bug 994 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Ævar Arnfjörð Bjarmason 2005-04-14 22:25:34 UTC It should be pointed out that this happens in general if you make a latex file with invalid contents, like if you bypass the math modules filters. Jitse Niesen 2005-07-26 23:43:10 UTC Analysis: The TeX code produces an empty DVI file, which dvips turns into an empty EPS file with a bounding box of zero width and height. For some reason, the convert program does not like this and converts the EPS file in a huge PNG file. It's not clear to me why the severity is set to major, as this seems to affect only maths expression which produce only whitespace, and this seems a silly thing to do anyway. Thomas Bleher 2008-02-05 08:35:14 UTC I just tried this on the English Wikipedia, and all looked normal. I guess some changes in the meantime fixed this bug. Closing with WORKSFORME.
