Description Berliner Schildkröte 2008-11-06 18:31:41 UTC
For the realisation of a poll on de.wikinews.org [[n:de:Wikinews:Pressestammtisch#Kommentare]]: I would request a new namespace for comments called "Meinungen". A discussion namespace for „Meinungen“ is not needed as far as i know.

regards
Berliner Schildkröte
Comment 1 Raimond Spekking 2008-11-06 18:34:14 UTC
A talk namespace is necessary. Per German standard it should be "Meinungen Diskussion".

shell keyword added.
Comment 2 Berliner Schildkröte 2008-11-06 18:40:40 UTC
If it's necessary „Meinungen Diskussion“ is good.

I don't think that we will need a special Talk-namespace. We only need a normal namespace, we do not even need a talk namespace for the namespace. Just look at the English version of Wikinews:

I assume some CSS vodoo :-)

Comments talk is defined:
    'enwikinews'    => array( 100 => 'Portal', 101 => 'Portal_talk',
                              102 => 'Comments', 103 => 'Comments_talk' ),

What is about this report? Is there any reaction in sight?..
Comment 6 Brion Vibber 2008-11-24 17:51:35 UTC
Should set the namespace key numbers to the same as enwikinews' Comments (102/103); also for best compatibility add namespace aliases for 'Comments' and 'Comments_talk'.
Comment 7 Rob Halsell 2008-11-24 22:03:56 UTC
This has been setup, there are now two new namespaces on dewikinews, 'Meinungen' and 'Meinungen_Diskussion'. It seems most namespaces use lowercase letters for the 'discussion/talk' part of the namespace, but dewikinews already has a precedent with the Portal and Portal_Diskussion, so the two new namespaces follow the same schema.

Aliases have also been setup per Brion's directive. If there are any other issues with this change, please feel free to reopen the ticket.

Thanks!
