A \propto B should give an alpha-looking "proportional to" sign.

Excellent. Can it be added to the other sites as well? Wikibooks, meta, etc.
All wikimedia projects share the same software, so I hope changing it on wikipedia.org changed it for wiktionary etc, too.
I've got the updated version actually installed and working now. Confirmed that it works on meta and en.wikibooks.

The common texvc exectable was always in /home/wikipedia/common/texvc I've changed it to a symlink to php-new/math/texvc (which is updated by scap)
