r41727 (bug 539) introduced a parameter for linking images directly to URLs, which as of r41789 it has been named 'link'.

It works great except for the fact that if you try to do an a:hover on images with transparency, such as logos, you end up seeing the hover colour in the down position.

You can see the bug in action on my URL.

I think that's something you'll need to do specifically for your custom stylesheet (which is setting up the a:hover background in the first place).

Sorry, yes it's about the skin.  Now that I'm thinking about this, however, I tend to see it more as a feature rather than a bug! :)
