Description Ryan (Rjd0060) 2008-10-23 18:29:41 UTC
The "NomCom" wiki listing is with the content wiki's, while it should be listed at the bottom with the "Other projects of Wikimedia".
Comment 1 Gurch 2009-01-21 18:32:50 UTC
This is presumably because the wiki's URL is http://nomcom.wikipedia.org, presumably a mistake at the time it was set up.

Would it be possible to move it to http://nomcom.wikimedia.org (and have the existing wikipedia.org name redirect)?

Failing that, can some sort of workaround be coded in to [[Special:SiteMatrix]]? Besides being listed in the wrong place, it also means there are red links for a "nomcom Wiktionary", "nomcom Wikibooks" and so forth. Assuming the Nomination Committee don't speak their own language, this is somewhat misleading.

I imagine it wouldn't even need a redirect - it's a /very/ internal wiki.

Moving this to "Wikimedia", since this is not a bug in the SiteMatrix extension. The problem in that "nomcom" is listed in the "langlist" file, removing it from that file should be enough.
Comment 7 p858snake 2010-07-05 02:13:33 UTC
Moving to site requests then.
Comment 8 Gurch 2010-07-07 14:36:27 UTC
Updated summary to reflect the actual source of the the bug -- and the fact that the nomcom wiki was deleted.

As stated in comment 6 the problem is the line "nomcom" in http://noc.wikimedia.org/conf/langlist - needs someone with the necessary access to remove it.
Comment 9 Casey Brown 2010-08-27 20:52:03 UTC
This wiki has been closed (and deleted too?), so it shouldn't be a problem to just remove it from the langlist.
Comment 10 JeLuF 2010-08-27 21:19:00 UTC
Fixed. Removed "nomcom" from langlist
