Once we are sure that the write api is sufficiently stable, it should be enabled by default.

Any weird bug reports with the write api left? If not I will enable it by default tonight. 

My bots made over 25000 edits without any problem.

On September 30, Tim had to (temporarily) disable the entire API due to one of the queries causing serious performance issues.

Probably not a factor when determining whether to enable the _write_ API by default, but I thought it noteworthy.

That happened before, and had nothing to do with the write part of the API.
