Description prodigion 2008-09-21 02:03:26 UTC
When trying to export using the API, it was ignoring the limit parameter and returning all revisions rather than only the specified revisions.

My script was working fine August 1st. It started ignoring the limit/offset parameter on September 7th.

When you say Export using the API, what exactly do you mean? There is no direct "export" functionality in the API, although the same information can be gotten via action=query (and the right parameters).
Comment 2 Dan Jacobson 2009-03-17 22:09:56 UTC
Just noting that the API now supports export...
Comment 3 Chad H. 2009-03-17 22:15:40 UTC
Which has nothing to do with this. the bug. The bug was filed before that existed and is rather vague.

From the description, it sounds like the reporter is using the api, since you can't specify exact revisions via Special:export.

Still need some clarification here...

Moving this bug back from the API component to the Export/Import component: the export API doesn't even *have* limit or offset parameters.
