Description Matthew Flaschen 2008-09-17 00:24:14 UTC
The images on the CentralAuth login page (i.e. below "Logging you in to Wikimedia's other projects") should be linked to their respective projects. For instance, the Wiktionary logo should link to the Wiktionary domain. This allows people to easily open tabs or windows for those projects after logging in.

This could be on a third-level basis (e.g. en.wikipedia.org login page would link to en.wiktionary.org), or second-level (any login page on wikipedia.org would link to wiktionary.org). If it is done on a third-level basis, this would obviously not be applicable to certain sites (like MediaWiki).

Fixed, r47521.
Comment 2 Brion Vibber 2009-03-25 09:30:19 UTC
In many cases this would pop over to different languages unexpectedly, not really ideal.

Reverted for now in r48799

Those icons are evil.

Can we define how we want to solve this? I think they should definitely link somewhere (it's a great opportunity to increase discoverability for sister projects).

The question is, where?
