Description NonvocalScream 2008-09-06 17:01:48 UTC
Please add a new protection level that will only allow crats to edit.
Comment 1 Alex Z. 2008-09-06 17:10:45 UTC
Is this really a serious request? Note that currently, any user with the 'protect' right can assign any given level of protection, but can only unprotect it if they are able to edit the article. Adding a bureaucrat-only protection level would result in a protection level that administrators can set, but not unset.

There's also virtually no community or policy based support for this, at least not on enwiki.

I'm sure the descriptive policy will follow. This is a feature request, and from what I see on Palin, it is however, needed.

These feature is technically possible and will be enabled for every community which will get a consensus on it and request it. Since you have no consensus for it, I close it as WONTFIX
