Screenshot of error

I attempted to upload a file called 'Image 6.png' and then 'image6.png' using both Firefox 3 and Safari on OS X Leopard but received this error both times:

".png" is not a permitted file type. Permitted file types are png, gif, jpg, jpeg, xcf, pdf, mid, ogg, svg, djvu.
Comment 1 Sam Johnston 2008-08-01 12:17:31 UTC
I converted the document to GIF (image6.gif) but still got the same error. Turns out MediaWiki didn't like the name 'Image:Acrobat.com.png' so I changed it to 'Image:Acrobat-com.png' and all was well.

The error was obscure though - should be fixed. Dropping severity.

I'll probably look into this while fixing bug 14925.
