Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.
In order to access the Phabricator task corresponding to a Bugzilla report, just remove "static-" from its URL.
You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description Sergey Leschina 2008-07-26 21:50:04 UTC
If days value smaller than 1 displays MediaWiki:Wlnote. But if days value more or equal 1, displays MediaWiki:Rcnote.
Comment 1 Niklas Laxström 2008-07-27 07:26:07 UTC
What is the problem here?
Comment 2 Sergey Leschina 2008-07-27 20:07:34 UTC
You think that no problem here? Rcnote is a message for RecentChanges. Why it display at other page?
Comment 3 Niklas Laxström 2008-07-27 20:10:52 UTC
Message names do not dictate where they can or cannot be used.
Comment 4 Sergey Leschina 2008-07-27 20:17:52 UTC
It make problem with create RecentChanges specified message.
And names should dictate where messages can or cannot be used. If messages are universal they should have name without any page specific prefix.
Comment 5 Niklas Laxström 2008-07-27 20:22:14 UTC
The message is clearly not intended to have any Recentchanges or Watchlist specific stuff. There is recentchangestext and others for that.

It is of course unfortunate if the message name is misleading, but messages will not be renamed afterwards just for the sake of renaming.
