Fixed in r36526. I didn't use your patch though: there's a function to check for read-onlyness called wfReadOnly() (you can also set the wiki to read-only using $wgReadOnly rather than $wgReadOnlyFile) and called the output field 'readonly' rather than 'dblock'.

Ah, I just looked at what was in Special(Un)lockdb they used the file tests instead of the function.
