Hello, I am not sure I understood the way wiki search works, but from what I have been told, i could search for something like xxx:yyy:zzz which if it does not exist, would create a section xxx, with subsection yyy, with subsection zzz On my MediaWiki (http://wiki.alcatelunleashed.com) , I tried this (and also on another one internal to our network). I wanted to create a page to explain our user quickly how to edit a page. I searched for wiki:howto:edit The page does not exist. When I click on the link to "create" a page, it brings me to http://c2.com/cgi/wiki?howto:edit It does the same on this website (wikimedia.org) Thank you, and keep the good work !
wiki: is a default interwiki prefix for c2.com, that's why you were redirected there. And MediaWiki is not supposed to use xxx:yyy:zzz notation to access subsections, because it's a valid page title.
