Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.
In order to access the Phabricator task corresponding to a Bugzilla report, just remove "static-" from its URL.
You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description frank 2008-06-08 07:02:00 UTC

I am not sure I understood the way wiki search works, but from what I have been told, i could search for something like xxx:yyy:zzz which if it does not exist, would create a section xxx, with subsection yyy, with subsection zzz

On my MediaWiki ( , I tried this (and also on another one internal to our network). I wanted to create a page to explain our user quickly how to edit a page. I searched for wiki:howto:edit

The page does not exist. When I click on the link to "create" a page, it brings me to

wiki: is a default interwiki prefix for, that's why you were redirected there. And MediaWiki is not supposed to use xxx:yyy:zzz notation to access subsections, because it's a valid page title.
