One of the users with CheckUser permission on de.wikipedia has been renamed on 2008-05-19 (more than one week ago), see http://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Spezial%3ALogbuch&type=renameuser&user=&page=Benutzer%3AHoch+auf+einem+Baum (user "Hoch auf einem Baum" > "HaeB").
The CU log doesn't reflect this change, and is a bit inconsistent therefore. Log entries before the date in question are still listed with the old username "Hoch auf einem Baum", newer entries are correct.

Hmm, It prolly should just join on user_id = cul_user
