Description Melancholie 2008-05-27 21:32:46 UTC
You do not get logged out on the wiki you have logged in if you log out somewhere else!

Log in at de:, log out at wikt:de:, and you will still be logged in at :de:!
Comment 1 Melancholie 2008-05-27 21:40:20 UTC
Also happens if log-in at en: and log-out at de: for example (but not always, as it seems?)
Comment 2 Charles Melbye 2008-05-27 23:29:44 UTC
Please note that this is only unified login, not en:Single Sign-on. This means that although you login to one project, you won't automatically be logged into all Wikimedia projects, and vice-versa. I'm not sure if Brion has plans to make this a Single Sign-on system or not.
Comment 3 Brion Vibber 2008-05-28 01:18:20 UTC
Yes, that's already enabled... hence the bug report about inconsistencies with it. :)

This is a known, but mildly annoying issue.
Comment 4 Melancholie 2008-05-28 20:48:40 UTC
Mildly annoying?
The reason for a logout is for example the prevention from *account abuse by others* (in public, by brothers/sisters or friends); for example ;-)
Comment 5 Tim Starling 2008-05-29 06:44:18 UTC
The local wiki seems to give valid local login cookies. This is incorrect, only centralauth cookies should be valid for login.
Comment 6 Tim Starling 2008-05-29 07:52:00 UTC
Should be fixed in r35533, I'll close this bug when it goes live.
