Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.
In order to access the Phabricator task corresponding to a Bugzilla report, just remove "static-" from its URL.
You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description P. Birken 2008-05-23 17:13:56 UTC
While the current behaviour of templates in flagged revisions is deliberate to avoid template vandalism, it is effectively a bug from the template point of view.

Now, while you work on the real solution with sighting templates, please do some fix which makes sure that changes in templates become visible immediately in all articles. Making template vandalism possible for a short period of time is much less annoying to readers and editors than the current situation: Templates are used heavily all over Wikipedia, while template vandalism is very rare.

So please, if there exists a sighted version for the current version, always show the current version, not the current stable version, show some warning message and show this as sighted.

The real solution will be enabled soon enough.
Comment 2 Mark A. Hershberger 2011-03-13 17:45:56 UTC
Changing all WONTFIX high priority bugs to lowest priority (no mail should be generated since I turned it off for this.)
