Description Denis Zucherato 2008-05-19 11:28:43 UTC
I think the search tool of rodovid has an error....
If i search a name with ^ or ` or ' and who add the information has added
without ^ it's impossible to find...
Isn`t possible do the search tool like google?
For example:
In google if i search "José" or "Jose" is the same, because google will find
both.
In google if i search "água" or "agua" is the same, because google will find
both.

In rodovid no, if i search José and was added as Jose you have a problem....

Thanks

The search built into MediaWiki treats accented characters (ü) differently
from normal characters (u). This bug should be reported at
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org not here. Rodovid has no scope to change this.

This bug does not apply to wikimedia sites, since we use lucene-search that does strip the accents.
